Good Advice

by Lindsay Jernigan

To ensure you finish college within your desired timeframe it is essential to meet with your advisors. “Every student on campus has to be advised and every full time faculty member has to have an advising load, each college is assigned an advising coordinator to back up the faculty and is there for the students,” Julie Mosley, Director of Student Advisement and Career Planning.

Students at UAFS are advised one of two ways, either through the Student Advisement and Career Planning Center or Faculty advised. Students who go through the Advisement Center are equally divided among the advisors or students can go in and request who they want to see. The students that are faculty advised have to be Bachelor Degree seeking and at least have had MATH 1203 or higher. The Advisor is assigned based on your degree plan.
