Student-On-Campus Survey

Intrigued with the latest news on social media I wondered how many of our students were using one or more forms of "social media," and how often they were sending text messages on a daily basis. So I headed out on campus to find a cross section of students to poll for this survey.

Myths and Conspiracies—Mass Bird and Fish Deaths

The mass deaths of birds, fish, frogs, and so on has shocked and awed many, and for good reason. It’s quite understandable. Consider looking down as you cross the bridge over the Arkansas River and seeing a vast blanket of deceased fish floating there, or stepping outside your front door in the morning and finding your yard full of bird carcasses. It can’t have been pleasant, and both those who have experienced these exact scenarios and those to whom the bird and fish kills are fairly remote ideas are searching for answers.
