Stepping into Dr. Kevin Jones’ office in Vines is an interesting experience for a slightly OCD, organization-freak like myself. His desk is piled with multiple stacks of paperwork, presumably student essays and such needing to be graded. “This is my controlled-chaos filing system. I know exactly where everything is at,” he jokes, pointing to the jumble of papers. Stacks of precariously perched books on shelves, desk, and floor, a hodgepodge of knick-knacks here and there, and an odd assortment of quotes all line the walls of his office.

Henna Helps Girls in Asia and on Campus

Henna, a dye made of extracts from the henna plant, has been popular among women in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East for centuries as an ornamental beauty accessory. It is common for them to gather for henna parties. Today, groups of Christian women are using it as an evangelical tool.

Campus Ministries: Spotlight Lions For Christ

Lions for Christ has seen a lot of changes in the approximately ten years that it has been around as a student campus ministry. When Ron Orick, Director of Career Services at UAFS and faculty advisor for LFC, helped to start the organization, UAFS did not yet exist - it was still Westark. LFC is still going strong and providing students with, as Orick said, “Christian-based activities” and “a church home.”
