Avoid Cold and Flu Season Medication Overload

To keep a cough and cold under control, you’ve been taking an over-the-counter (OTC) symptom reliever. You’ve also been taking regular doses of an aspirin-free pain reliever. At bedtime, you may add another drugstore medication to help you sleep. These drugs may be safe when taken as directed but combined they may be dangerous. That’s because they all likely contain acetaminophen.

How to Study Effectively

You have a big test coming up. You want to do really well on it so you decide to put in a lot of effort and study hard. You break out your textbook, notes, and Power Points. You're almost ready, but you need a snack first.  Then, your roommate gets home and asks you to run to the mall with them. You have plenty of time to study later, so why not? Next thing you know, it's the night before the test and you haven't even begun to study. You now have to choose between sleep and studying. Sound familiar?

‘Tis the Season to Be Healthy

It’s that time of the year again, holiday sales, ginger bread houses, and “the sniffles.”  With cold weather, you can almost always be guaranteed that sickness will be following close behind. As students, especially during the hectic finals week at the beginning of December, we have no time to be sick and miss classes. Luckily, we have a perfect solution to that problem to prevent the “finals sickness” that strikes almost every student this time of the year.
