Chris Cameron Bringing the Blues to The Blue Lion

The spring semester is now in full swing. The awkward introductions are over and everyone has settled into their routines. If you are looking for an excuse to get out and relax this weekend, The Blue Lion at UAFS Downtown is offering up a great opportunity. The Chris Cameron Blues Band will be performing live this Friday, January 31 starting at 7:30 pm.

Chris Cameron hails from Fort Smith and has made his city proud since being awarded the Albert King Award for Most Promising International Blues Guitarist at only 18 years of age. Since, he has toured the country playing solo shows and also been invited to play alongside several greats from the blues and rock community, including Tab Benoit. Chris has also released two albums along the way and now plays front man for a group of seasoned musicians.

Formed in 2005, the Chris Cameron Blues Band puts an electric twist on traditional blues and R&B to create the ultimate sound for easy listening. The Blue Lion, formerly known as Second Street Live, is located at 101 N. 2nd Street. Tickets are $20 dollars each and can be purchased at uafs.universitytickets.com or by calling the UAFS box office. Don't miss out on the chance to let loose under the soft lights of The Blue Lion and enjoy some great live music performed by talented and local musicians.
